Cold training according to the Wim Hof method is carried out outdoors in cold water. The participants are instructed by personal trainer Gabriel Hofmann. The workshop includes two parts: First, the Wim-Hof breathing technique is introduced and tested indoors (approx. 1 hour), after a short break (15 minutes), the participants go outside together in swimwear and into the cold water for a minute . The workshop ends with subsequent physical exercises and those who now need warmth can then warm up in the in-house sauna. What are the effects of cold training and breathing techniques? Both have a highly stress-reducing effect because the body is consciously placed under acute stress for a short period of time.
