Rules regarding the use of a golf cart in tournaments

The FGC Oberschwaben competition regulations contain the following passage under 9d:

The use of a golf cart may be permitted for players with health problems who cannot complete the competition without golf carts. To do this, a medical certificate must be presented or the consent of the game management or a member of the handicap and gaming committee must be obtained.

The following regulations apply to the medical certificate:

The certificate from a practicing general practitioner or a specialist - corresponding to the illness. As an alternative to the medical certificate, a severely disabled person's card G (significant walking/standing disability). If the certificate or the severely disabled person's card does not have a validity date, it is valid for 1 year. A new proof must then be submitted.

The certificates will be deposited with the Gulf Secretariat. It is the golfer's responsibility to ensure that the certificates provided are valid. This regulation will be communicated via circular email on September 1st, 2023 and will apply from communication. Bad Waldsee, August 22nd, 2023 signed. The Board of Directors of the FGCO

Decision regarding the admissibility of dogs in tournaments

The FGC Oberschwaben rules of play allow dogs to be brought onto the golf course as long as they are on a leash.

The following regulations apply with regard to bringing dogs into tournaments:

Dogs are generally not allowed at tournaments in the FGCO. Exceptions are possible if the dog owner agrees with the organizer of a tournament - e.g. with the men's captain for the men's golf, the women's captain for the women's golf, the captain for the Wednesday men's - to take the dog with them and undertakes to obtain the consent of its flight partners after the start list has been distributed. If a flight partner does not agree, the dog cannot be taken along.

Rationale for this decision:

Some people are afraid of dogs, and the determination of the flight composition and start lists for a tournament cannot take such aspects into account in purely organizational terms. At the tournament, distractions should be minimal; some dogs are very well behaved, others less so, which can distract players

For these two reasons, a general permit for the presence of dogs at tournaments does not make sense. The regulation allows solutions to be agreed on a case-by-case basis, provided that the responsible organizer of a tournament agrees to this regulation and the dog owner obtains the consent of his flight partners in advance.

Dogs are allowed on RPR rounds provided the flight partners agree.

The competition regulations will be adjusted accordingly and these regulations will be communicated via circular email on September 1st, 2023 and will apply as of communication.
