Description of the trails

Magic forest trail

Directions - 7.2 km [LL, classic - black]

Experience our beautiful ZAUBERWALD cross-country ski trail. It is perfect for advanced users who are looking for a little challenge. The tour begins directly behind the hotel parking lot. Please don't forget to purchase a ticket in advance at the hotel reception. The Magic Forest trail leads past the short course to the Fürstin Sophien See. Here it's a nice long stretch downhill. We leave fairway 11 on the left and follow a flat section straight ahead, slightly sloping along the edge of the forest. Finally we cross the path again, past the Erbgraf Ludwig See and the Old Course halfway hut on the left. Also suitable for a short break.

Shortly afterwards comes the first, demanding climb. After a long stretch straight ahead, the trail leads into a beautiful forest, which is why this trail is called “Magic Forest”. After a challenging 150 m uphill, the trail winds slightly downhill again along hiking trail 2, the Fürstin Sophie Panoramaweg, and after crossing the practice course there is a sporty descent of approx. 200 m. After crossing several tees and walking paths, the trail returns A little way down past the edge of the driving range. After a last short stretch uphill you return to the starting point.

Detach yourself from your everyday world so that you can immerse yourself in nature and find yourself again. We wish you a nice cross-country skiing trip to our winter world.

With me you will discover fantastic places

Polarstern trail

Directions - 6.9 km [Skating / LL classic - red]

The skating round starts at the starting point next to the hotel building. The trail goes past the borehole from which the thermal water comes, past the edge of the reeds to the tee at hole 5. Along federal highway 30, the trail leads over tee 2 to the New Course, crosses the walking path, along the Fürstin Sophie See and then leads almost completely around the entire lake. (This is also where our second practice trail is located.) Past the depot of the Princely Golf & Nature Resort, we continue onto the Old Course. Now the skating trail runs a good distance parallel to the magic forest trail. Depending on the snow conditions, it runs 1 to 2 kilometers parallel to the Zauberwald trail. The two trails then separate again at fairway 10. The skating trail continues to the left and turns towards the forest shortly before hole 12. Now it goes up a slight hill. After the climb, a beautiful view of the lake rewards the effort. This is also a nice opportunity for a short breather. The route continues gently downhill again. The trail now crosses the access road and goes over the New Course, past the driving range, back to the start.

A great, varied and sporty round of skating awaits you on the Polarstern trail at the Princely Golf Resort!

Schneehasen trail

Directions - 5.2 - 7.4 km [LL, classic - blue]

The entrance to the classic cross-country ski run is at hole 18. Follow the cross-country ski run straight across the fairways, which attract numerous golfers in summer, for a stretch. Then we continue over a wooden bridge where you can take a breather and enjoy the beautiful view over the lake. We continue along the forest, again over a bridge. Here the trail is a little more curvy and offers a great view of the beautiful winter landscape of the Princely Golf & Nature Resort.

Now you come to the most demanding part of the entire trail: a sporty descent. Between the two lakes it loops back through an idyllic forest. The trail winds past the pond through the idyllic fruit trees back to the starting point. The cross-country ski trail is very varied and offers great, different impressions. Wild animals can often be seen in the snowy winter landscape in winter, which gave the trail the name Schneehasenloipe.

Enjoy the fantastic winter landscape of the Princely Golf & Nature Resort and experience the classic cross-country skiing sport in a new dimension.
